Who are the Daughters of Isabella?

We are a Catholic Women's Organization whose motto is Unity, Friendship and Charity.  Our international, state and local structure has existed for over 100 years.  The International Circle is comprised of local circles in the United States, Canada and Japan. There are currently 31 local circles in the Michigan State Circle.

We were founded as an organization of Catholic women to uphold the teachings of the Catholic Church, bring spiritual benefits to our members and contribute to the common good of humanity.  Members receive plenary indulgences and remembrances in masses and novenas as a benefit of membership. There are also opportunities to participate in retreats, masses, novenas, and other spiritual activities at the state and local circle level.

In Michigan, we take pleasure in being part of diverse charitable endeavors that benefit organizations such as Ronald McDonald House®, Karmanos Cancer Center, Breast Cancer Awareness, Right to Life and youth activities.  The state charitable project for at least the next four years is Ronald McDonald House®.  Participation in local circle meetings and activities strengthens our bond of sisterhood while we build unity and friendship on a larger scale via Tiger baseball game outings, Huron Lady boat trips, walk-a-thons, various workshops and conventions.

Please take a few moments to review the rest of our website for more information about what we do, who we are, what activities we have, and where to find us.
